Donald L. Nottingham, 87, Parkville, MO passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam, KS.
Donald was born April 14, 1930 in Hiawatha, KS to Benjamin and Mildred Nottingham. He graduated from Hiawatha High School. Donald was a veteran of the Army National Guard. On Dec. 3, 1950, Donald married Edna Mueller in Hiawatha, KS.
Donald was a manager of A&P Grocery Store, retiring in 1990. Following retirement, he was a courier for Kaiser-Permanente until 2000.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jeanette Nottingham and two brothers, Marion and Larry Nottingham. Survivors include his wife of nearly 67 years, Edna L. Nottingham; daughter, Susan (Brett) King, Parkville, MO; two sons, Robert Nottingham, Shawnee, KS and Steven Nottingham, Colorado Springs, CO; four sisters, Mary Beth (Hillis) Bowen, Hiawatha, KS, Joan Christian, Marion, OH, Bettie (George) Tollefson, Lenexa, KS, and Jeanne (Paul) Grizzle, Shawnee, KS, five grandchildren, Christy, Leslie, Michelle, Jenna, and Katie; seven great grandchildren, Colin, Emily, Kailee, Lucas, Jillian, Ellie, and Jayse; and numerous, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10-11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21 at the Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W. 87th St. Pkwy, Lenexa, KS; burial in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
