Donald M. Schultz 84, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010, at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mr. Schultz was born in Kansas City, Missouri. Donald graduated from Ruhl-Hartman High School in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating from high school, he served honorably in the United States Navy. After his service in the Navy, Donald married Marjorie Bennett on August 4, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was employed at Western Electric/AT&T for over 35 years, before retiring in 1984.
Donald is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Marjorie, and his sister, Frankie Lee.
He is survived by five daughters, Donna (Ernie) Sloan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Debbie Schultz of Olathe, Kansas, Susie South of Lenexa, Kansas, Vivian (Larry) Brown of Merriam, Kansas, and Stacia (Timothy) Neff of Merriam, Kansas; a brother, William Schultz, of Enterprise, Alabama; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Kansas City Hospice House; 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.
Visitation and Services
Memorial visitation will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
