Donald A. Uthe passed away at the age of 79 on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. He was born on October 1, 1941, to his parents George and Pauline Uthe. He is a United States Army veteran and was stationed in Germany for two years. He was an Industrial Engineer at Fairbanks Morse Pump Company for 45 years before retiring in 2008. Don always had a strong sense of humor and loved to show off his orneriness in front of his grandkids. He coached his kids in Little League Baseball for many years. He also loved to bowl and bowled in several leagues throughout the years. He was always a hometown fan as he always watched the Chiefs and Royals play. He enjoyed watching western shows and reading western books as well as swimming in his pool. Don left behind his wife of 57 years, Frances Uthe. As well as his son Jim and his wife April. His daughter Nancy and her husband Clay Denebeim. And his youngest son Bill. He loved his grandkids Hannah and Zach Uthe, and Jack and James Denebeim, and would always light up with a big smile when he saw them. He also leaves behind his sister Vernie Whitebread and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. As well as his beloved dog Katielynn. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Bernice and brother Marvin and his son Donald. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on April 27 at Amos Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas, the burial will be at Floral Hills in Kansas City, Missouri. The family kindly asks to omit receiving flowers and asks you to donate to the Wounded Warriors Project, ASPCA, or a charity of your choice. Rest In Peace Pops and Grandpa! We love you so much! We already miss you so much!
