Donna Potter Evans

Donna Potter Evans, 79, Mission, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Sweet Life at Grand Court, Overland Park, Kansas.

Donna was born July 12, 1931, in Virginia, Illinois, to Willard E. and Hazel G. (Sanders) Potter. Donna married Donald L. Evans in Aurora, Illinois, and had celebrated their 50 year anniversary. She was an admitting clerk at Shawnee Mission Medical Center for 15 years, retiring in 2006.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, in 1992 and her sister, Joellen Leffler. Survivors include her son, Brian Evans and wife, Laura, Mission, Kansas; daughter, Sandra Evans, Emporia, Kansas; and three grandchildren, Donald, Ashley and Ellie Evans.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Friends may call from 12-1:00 pm, Saturday at the chapel. Graveside service will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 13, 2011, at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Virginia, Illinois.
