Doris A. Aller

Doris died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Oakridge Rehabilitation Center in Plattsburg, Missouri after a prolonged illness.

Doris was born on February 18, 1932 in Zurich, Kansas, the daughter of Edwin and Irene (Senecal) Dramann. She graduated from Bishop Ward Catholic High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1951.

Doris married Wayne P. Brown on May 26, 1958 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They had a long and wonderful marriage until Wayne passed away on August 14, 1993 after a long battle with cancer.

Doris married Robert H. Aller on June 7, 1996. Bob loved and took care of Doris until he passed away on May 1, 2009.

Doris started working at Katz Drug Stores while still in high school and worked her way up to Cosmetics Buyer, which was her position when she left to start a family. Beginning in 1975, Doris started working at Planter's Seed Company in Kansas City, Missouri's River Market area, where she worked until her retirement in 1997. After her retirement, Doris enjoyed maintaining her and Bob's home and extensive yard and gardens, and becoming involved with Bob's Packard and Classic Car Clubs.

Throughout her life, Doris' favorite things were gardening and feeding and watching the many birds that resided on their property.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Jane A. Brown of Prairie Village, Kansas and her son, Ronald L. Brown (Cindy) of Leavenworth, Kansas and grandsons Josh Miller, Matt Miller, and Corey Miller of Leavenworth, Kansas and Connor Aller of Denver, Colorado; and siblings Agnes Kissinger, Lionel "Bub" Dramann, Raymond Dramann, Marie Blocker, Evelyn Fagan, Anita Suptic, JoAnne Hicks, and Jane Woehrman.

In addition to Wayne and Bob, Doris was predeceased in death by sisters Loretta Wager and Patricia Darveau and her parents.

Memorial donations in Doris's memory may be made to the Sister Servants of Mary, 800 N. 18th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66102.

Visitation & Rosary

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 11 a.m.
