Doris L. Chepuran

Doris L. Chepuran, 89, of Merriam, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Doris was born June 2, 1920 to Carmen and Blanche Rangel in Fairbury, Nebraska. Doris married Joseph Chepuran on May 25, 1958 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Argentine, Kansas. Doris was a devoted wife and loving mother. She always put the needs of her family before her own and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Joseph; a son, J. David Beemont, Mabelvale, Arkansas; and a daughter Barbara L. Bowman, Aztec, New Mexico; a brother, Leonard Rangel and wife Margie, Shawnee, Kansas; a sister Rosetta Perry-Gardner and husband John, Oxnard, California; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 13,2009 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee; a rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
