Doris Colombe Zirfas

Doris Colombe Zirfas, 89, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011, at her home.

She was born August 13, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois, to Joseph M. and Marie (Weis) Cihlar. She was united in marriage to Eugene Colombe until his death in 1980. She remarried to Lawrence Zirfas who passed away in 2005.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Betty Shaw, and a brother Raymond Cihlar. She is survived by her four children from her first marriage; John, Greg, and Brian Colombe and Carol Krause. She is also survived by a step-daughter, Janice Minor, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Service

A visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday April 13, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Church of the Nativity Catholic Church, 3800 W. 119th Street, Leawood, Kansas. Burial will be in Clifton, Illinois.
