Dorothy B. Bustamante, 82, of Kansas City, KS passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Dorothy was born February 6, 1934 to the late Ines and Aurellia Bernal. Dorothy was a devout member of Sacred Heart parish since 1965. Dorothy was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She also loved to ride roller coasters, but would never put her hands in the air.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Jose, in 1995. She is also preceded in death by her three children, Joseph John, Theresa Callihan and Donna Sheehan.

Survivors include her children, Juanita Cox and husband Michael; Vincent Bustamante; Monica Bustamante; Linda Burch; John J. Bustamante and wife Janie; Jude A. Bustamante and wife Angie; 24 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, five brothers and four sisters.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6 pm to 8 pm Sunday, July 31 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2646 S. 34th St., Kansas City, KS, where a rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
