Dorothy E. Brown

Dorothy E. Brown, 88, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away October 13, 2011.

Mrs. Brown was born in Hutsonville, Illinois, and has lived in Merriam since 1955. She was a member of the Merriam Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Brown in 1997 and his son Doug in 2002. Survivors include a son and his wife, Jim and Cindy Brown of Merriam; grandchildren, Christopher, Curtis, Jaclyn, and Cameron; Doug's wife Caryn Brown and her sons Clark and Josh; niece Janis Ruks and family, along with numerous other nieces and nephews and many special friends.

A visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, Octoaber 17, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. The funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2011 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Shawnee, Kansas.
