DOROTHY ANN (MEINERS) PEEL

Dorothy Ann (Meiners) Peel, 69, of Overland Park, KS passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Dorothy Ann was born September 23, 1945 to the late Eugene and Dorothy (Merl) Meiners in Kansas City, Missouri. On May 29, 1976, she married Brian Peel at QHR. Dorothy Ann was a former member of QHR and a current member of St. Joseph parish. She was an active member of the Brown and Gold Club and enjoyed attending the dinner theater. For several years, Dorothy Ann worked for KC Credit Bureau; Skelly Oil and Western Auto before she retired in October of 1980. After her retirement Dorothy Ann set out to raise her family. She was very involved in keeping her branch of the Meiners-Hodes Family Directory accurate. She also enjoyed bowling with the Meiners-Hodes Family League. At home Dorothy Ann loved planting flowers and tomatoes. She enjoyed cooking and baking as well.

Dorothy Ann is survived by her loving husband of almost 39 years, Brian; her children Regina Radolovich (Nic); Douglas Peel; three brothers, Eugene Meiners; Robert Meiners (Angie); Donald Meiners; and a sister, Marilyn Kay Snyder (Don).

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 30, at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of the Holy Rosary (QHR), 7023 W. 71st Street, Overland Park, KS. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
