Dorothy Gla Rolig, 90, passed away February 24, 2015 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. She was born October 31, 1924 in Toolesboro, Iowa to Glen and Irma Buster. Gla was a part of an Iowa Farm Family during her early years. She went on to serve as a Navy Wave in WWII and as a Navy Nurse during the Korean War. She finished her nursing career at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. She will be missed by those whose lives she touched and fondly remembered by her family that she adored. She is survived by her son, Bret (Dee) Rolig, grandchildren; Allison, Kaitlin, Brady, sisters; Frances Pulliam, Iva Marie Buster, Kay Schillig, brother, George Buster. Gla was preceded in death by her Husband, Willis Rolig in 1990, brothers; Donald, Gene, Larry Buster, sisters; Allene Forbes, Ruth Buster, Glenna Buster.

Services

A Celebration of Life is set for 4:00 PM, Friday February 27, 2015 at Crossroads Christian Church 5855 Renner Road Shawnee, Kansas 66217. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens in Iowa City, Iowa on February 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
