Dorothy Ann VanLerberg passed away at on July 19, 2017. Dorothy was born February 2, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas to Julius and Lillian DeGraeve. Dorothy was a vibrant young 86 year old woman. She spent her life laughing, even when God's will handed her hard situations. She found a way to accept his will and eventually she found laughter again. Dorothy loved her life. She spent the last few years of her life telling everyone how thankful she was for the life her husband gave her. Her fun, laughter and strength was admired by many. She will be missed greatly.  Dorothy is survived by her children; Paula (Bill) Hardacre, Alex, Thomas, Ward (Linda), David (Darah), Lillie, Andrew (Lisa) VanLerberg, Julie (David) Dean, twenty four grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, son, Dale, and parents.

Services

A Visitation is set for 2:00 ~ 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 AM, Monday, July 24, 2017 at Church of the Ascension, 9510 W. 127th Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66213.   Burial will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, Kansas.
