Dorothy Ann Cady) Zarda

Dorothy Ann Zarda, 69, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, MO. She fought an aggressive lung cancer that got the best of her. Dorothy was born Sept. 3, 1949 in Auburn, New York to Donald Forest Finch and Beverly Clark Finch. She grew up in the central N.Y. area and graduated from APW High School in 1967. She moved to Kansas City in 1974. Dorothy was an employee at Sysco, Olathe, KS for more than 25 years and she worked for Dillard's for eight years. She has been actively working for the Johnson County Genealogical Society since Jan. 2015 and is a Mayflower decendent.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father Donald Forest Finch in 1984 and brother, David Clark Finch, 2010. Survivors include her husband, of 41 years, William Edward Zarda; mother, Beverly Finch, Charlotte, NC; two children, Jason M. (Marie) Cady, Olathe, KS and Joseph Edward Zarda, Shawnee, KS; two grandchildren, Nathan Cady, Denver, CO and Kelly Fournier, Kansas City, MO; sisters and brothers, Carol Houde, Parish, NY, Forest Finch, Williamstown, NY, Sue Justen, Carlotte, NC and Doug Finch, Carlotte, NC and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday, Sept. 20 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, where a Rosary Recitation will be at 6:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
