Douglas G. Kratky

Douglas G. Kratky, 52, of Fairway, KS, passed away, Monday, December 1, 2014 surrounded by his family.

Doug was born in Omaha, NE and grew up in Tulsa, OK. He received his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State and his Masters from KU. He was currently employed at Maryville Technologies. Doug was an avid supporter of the greater Kansas City community, contributing to the KC Zoo, the Nelson Atkins Art Museum, KCPT, and Powell Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol, on May 11, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Sue Kratky; a son, Owen Kratky; his father, Ronald Kratky; a brother, Kevin Kratky; his sisters, Ronda Dee and Dawn Faulkner and 22 nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m., Wednesday at the Amos Family Funeral Home where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the ‘Owen Kratky Education Fund’ that has been established for his six-year old son, which may be mailed to The Amos Family Funeral Home.
