Dr. Michele Bonci

Michele Ann Bonci age 49 of Mission, Kansas, passed away on August 26, 2013, at home after a brave, 14 month battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born in New Rochelle, New York, on November 26, 1963. She was married to Andrew S. Bonci of New York who she knew since their sophomore year at the Eastchester Senior High School, Eastchester, New York. Michele was a graduate of Fordham University in the Bronx with a Bachelor of Science in biology. She also graduated from the Cleveland Chiropractic College of Kansas City with a Clinical Doctorate in chiropractic. In addition to clinical practice, Michele was a well-loved and respected Diagnostic Sciences instructor, who held the academic rank of Assistant Professor.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Marciano Thomas and her father Michael Thomas. She is survived by her husband Andrew S. Bonci; her two sons Nicholas A. Bonci and Andrew S. Bonci, Jr.; and her sisters MaryAnn Francella of Tuckahoe, New York and Susan Anderson of Chicago, Illinois.

Memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 2013, at the Shawnee Mission North High School Auditorium.

In lieu of flowers or donations, it is the family's request that you offer aid and comfort to a cancer patient and their family without being asked. Pick up their prescriptions, cut their grass, wash their dishes, fold their laundry, take out their trash, or shovel their walkway and the like.
