Dr. Martha Louise Hurley

Dr. Martha Louise Hurley, 56 of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away at Shawnee Mission Medical Center on Tuesday March 29, 2011.

Martha was born in Concordia, Kansas, the second child of James and Helen Hurley. She graduated from Glasco High School in 1972, then Kansas State University in 1976. She graduated KU-Med in 1979. She finished her residency at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Martha practiced as an OB/GYN in several areas bringing over 7,000 lives into this world.

In 1983 she married Alan Hullman and had three children to this union.

Along with caring deeply for her family and friends, she loved animals, the outdoors, travel, and dance. She was very caring, loving, loved and will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father James Hurley in Febuary of 2011. She was survived by her children, Andrea Hullman, Danny Hullman, and Kevin Hullman; her mother Helen Hurley; sister Mary (Roger) Mosher; brothers Charles (Chris) Hurley and Alan (Janet) Hurley; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2011, in Glasco, Kansas.
