Dr. Robert E. Lee Marshall, II, age 91 of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away June 18, 2013.

Doc was born October 31, 1921, in Columbia, Missouri, to Robert and Essie Marshall. He graduated from St. Louis University Dental School in 1944 and served in the Navy as a dental officer form 1944 to 1946. Doc practiced dentistry in Lee's Summit, Missouri, from 1946 to 1987. He continued as a Captain in the US Public Health Service until retirement. He married Sally Helen Brownfield in 1952 and was married for 57 years.

Doc was a prize winning rose gardener; he was part of the Lee's Summit Rotary; and founding member of the Lee's Summit Airport Commission for which he was given a key to the city. He was an avid aviator and member of the Naples, Florida Power Squadron. Doc loved to golf and spend time with family and friends. He was a father and friend to many.

He is survived by his daughter Lesa Brazeale (Lance); son, Robert E. Lee Marshall, III (Ce Ce); grandchildren, Joseph Brazeale, Robert Marshall, Thomas Marshall, Lucas Marshall and Maria Marshall. He is preceded in death by his wife Sally Helen Marshall.
