Dr. James Webb

Dr. James Webb, 78, of Shawnee, Kansas, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Sweet Life at Rosehill in Shawnee, Kansas.

Dr. Webb was born June 17, 1934 in Blue Eye, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Kansas Medical School in 1961 and worked as an intern at St. Margaret's Hospital for a year. He then opened his practice with Dr. J. Michael Boles at 60th and Nieman Road in Shawnee in 1962. Dr. Webb practiced medicine for 41 years until he retired in July of 2003.

He is survived by his wife Patricia; son James R. Webb, Jr. and his wife Tiffany; daughter, Cindy Thompson and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Crystal Wallace and husband Chad, Charles Arwood, II, Daniel and Patrick Webb along with their mother, Becky Webb Hanna; step-grandchildren, Jason and Victoria McCord, and great-granddaughter Cydnee Wallace. Dr. Webb is also survived by his siblings, Betty Jean, Duane, Virginia, Carolyn, and Dean their families.

Dr. Webb was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends

A memorial visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
