Duane Edward Sax, 58, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, Kansas, due to complications  from diabetes.

Duane was born September 15, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Louis E. and Betty Sax. He was a 1978 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. On August 25, 1984, Duane married Denise Hobdy at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee, Kansas. In 1986, Duane and Denise had a daughter, Lindsay and in 1989, son, Brian.

Duane was preceded in death by his father, Louis Edward Sax in 2016. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Denise; daughter, Lindsay Sax, Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Brian Sax, Olathe, Kansas; mother, Betty Sax; brother, Dale Sax; two sisters, Cindy (Randy) Keith and Caren (John) Corneliusen all of Shawnee, Kansas.

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by at service at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2019,  at Amos Family Funeral Home.
