Earnest S. Ford passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, with his family at his side.
Earnie was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve, parents Roy and Flossie Ford, four brothers and one sister. He is survived by two sons, Roger H. Ford and Richard S. Ford; daughters Cynthia L. Koob and Christina Coleman; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Earnest was born August 6, 1920, in Carthage, Missouri. He graduated from Carthage High School and attended Carthage Joiner Business College. Mr. Ford was a WWII veteran and served his country honorably as a US Navy Chief Yeoman and Naval Intelligence Attaché in Lisbon, Portugal during the war. Earnest moved to Mission, Kansas, in 1950 and helped establish the city of Mission in 1951. He owned the Farmer's Insurance business in Johnson County, Kansas. Earnie later owned a Fluffy Fresh Donut business and worked in management for Durvet. He was a member of Saint Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church.

Graveside Services
A graveside service will be held at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri, Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 1:00 pm.
