Ede M. Jester

Ede M. Jester, 62, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, January 25, 2009 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Ede was born May 13, 1946 in Norton, Kansas. She was a member of New Life Family Church and the Women's Church of God. Ede also served her country as a member of the Kansas Army National Guard. She was licensed massage therapist and owned and operated Abundant Life Wellness.

A son, CPT. Mark Aarron Mathes, U.S. Army, preceded her in death on Ede is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Alan Jester, Merriam, Kansas; a son J. D. Mathes, Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Anita Sheffield, and Linda Montgomery both of Tampa, Florida; one brother, Joe Bivens, Baytown, Texas. 5 step-grandchildren also survive her.

The family suggests contributions be made to the Missions for Ecuador.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, at the New Life Family Church. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 28 at the Church. Burial will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Norton Cemetery in Norton, Kansas.
