Edward Joseph Buckman

Edward Joseph Buckman, 86, Shawnee, KS passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Edward was born July 29, 1927 in Kansas City, KS to Paul T. and Aletha Buckman. He was a lifelong Shawnee resident. Edward attended St. Joseph High School. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. On Aug. 16, 1947 Edward married Rosemarie Heimberger at the St. Joseph Church.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife, Rosemarie Buckman; three daughters, Kathryn Wren, Rita Beckenhauer and Linda Harz; five sons, Wayne, Charles, Terence, Kevin and Chris Buckman; 20 grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial in the Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-10:30 Wednesday at the church.
