Edward A. Roberts

Ed Roberts, 92, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away August 2, 2011.

Ed was born September 23, 1918, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Edward and Vera (Bayer) Roberts. He served in the US Army during WWII. Ed was united in marriage to Rosa Mae Paschke in April of 1946. Ed retired from managing Shawnee Village Bowling Alley after many years. He was an avid bowler known far and wide as "Ed from the bowling alley"

He was preceded in death by his wife Rosa, his brothers Don and John Roberts, and daughters, Patricia and Paula. He is survived by his daughter Lindsey Roeder; grandson Nicholas Roeder; granddaughter Kimberly Caceres; grandson Jeremy Wycoff ; and with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Funeral Service

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, August 5, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10 am, Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Knox Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Antioch Pioneer Cemetery, Merriam, Kansas.
