Eileen R. Rieke

Born August 4, 1923 to Catherine A. Gallivan and Earl C. Swope, she left us to join her family in heaven on May 31, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Vincent Rieke, her parents, 2 sisters: Bernadine Palmer and Alice Garrett, 3 brothers: Lawrence Swope, Jerome Swope and Ivan Swope.

She is survived by 5 sons: Lawrence (Dana), Steven, Donald, Jerry (Tami) and Lee (Jeanne) Rieke, 4 daughters: Joan Brady, Jean Ann Rieke (Patrick), Barbara Hart (Paul) and Janet Rieke (Alain), 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, two sisters-in - law, Ruby and Kay Swope, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Pallbearers are her grandsons: Bob, Tom, and Mitch Brady, Colby Rieke, Matt Maguire, Bob Rieke Jordan and Cole Rieke.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to American Cancer Society, The American Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice.

Visitation and Funeral Mass

The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee where the Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m.
