Eleanor R. Gassman, 92, Shawnee, KS passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019 at the Brookdale at Rosehill, Shawnee, KS.

Eleanor was born December 31, 1926 in Elliott, IA to Vernon and Ruth DeWitt. She worked for Marsh McLennan Insurance Co. until her retirement. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Gassman; sister, Mary Crary and a granddaughter, Sarah Carmody Thornton. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (William) Carmody and Teresa (Gary) Babcock. She was GG to six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Keeler Women's Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, KS 66102.

Visitation and Services

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
