Eleanor Malorny Glickley, 74, of Lenexa, KS passed away March 15, 2014. Eleanor was born in Chicago, Illinois to her late parents, German immigrants, August Malory and Helene J. (Cholewa) Malorny. She spent her childhood helping at her father's bakery, National Bakery, taking ballet lessons and being an accomplished pianist. Eleanor would fondly recall spending vacations with her family in the Wisconsin Dells. She graduated from LorettoHigh School. She married and had her children while in the Chicago area. She and her family moved to Lenexa, Kansas where she resided for the remainder of her life. Eleanor was a great cook and enjoyed collecting Muffy VanderBears. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Eleanor is survived by her four children; Anita Glickley Carr and her husband Mike, Steve Glickley, Tony Glickley, Ted Glickley and his wife Lisa St. Mary, grandchildren; Jamie Emerson, Tina Carr, John Carr, Steve Carr, Anneliese Glickley, Mathias Glickley, Nick LaBruzzo, and Kelly LaBruzzo, sister Anita Malorny, and a brother Robert Malorny.

Visitation & Mass

A visitation will be held Sat. Mar. 22, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Lenexa, KS. Mass will follow at 10:30 am. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside service back at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Eleanor, to the KU Endowment to be used for cancer research.
