Elizabeth “Betsy” Bruning

Elizabeth “Betsy” Bruning, 88, of Shawnee, KS passed away, Monday, June 16, 2014 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Betsy was born in Holyoke, Mass. She was an Interior Decorator. Betsy moved to Shawnee in 2007 and loved to go to First Watch and The Big Biscuit where she enjoyed many friendships. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Bruning, Sr. and a brother, Garrison Twing. She is survived by a son, Kenneth W. (Maryjane) Bruning, Jr., of Shawnee, KS; a daughter Catharine (Richard) Linhart, of Fox Point, WI; a grandson, Jon Linhart, of Houston, TX, and her caregiver, Shirley Johnson.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 28, at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Wayside Waifs.
