Elizabeth Ann Currey

Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Currey, aged 87, died peacefully on August 11, 2017 at Twin Oaks Skilled Nursing in Lansing, Kansas. Formerly of Pittsburgh and Tampa, she earned her nursing degree, married Charles F. Currey, and raised five children. She was a graduate of Grace Hospital's Nursing College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She was an accomplished knitter and card player as well as a talented gardener and pianist. She is survived by  Carolyn Murray of Tampa, FL; Robert Currey of Chicago, IL; David Currey of Burlington, Ontario; Susan Harter of Castenea, PA, and Catherine Schrankel of Parkville, Missouri. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Matthew Murray, Heather Bohler, Andrew Murray, Meghan Currey, John Currey, Brian Currey, Alexandra Schrankel, and Victoria Schrankel, and one great grandchild, Simon Bohler.

A celebration of her life will be held in a private ceremony.
