Elizabeth A. “Betty” Hund

Elizabeth A. "Betty" Hund, 86, Overland Park, KS passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at her home. Betty was born May 28, 1930 in Wamego, KS to Frank and Marie Knoebber. She attended St. Francis College in Topeka, KS where she earned her Nursing Degree. Betty was a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital before she was married. On June 25, 1966, Betty married Francis Elmer Hund in Wamego, KS. They raised their family in Merriam, KS and spent their later years at Tallgrass Creek in Overland Park, KS.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, on April 13, 2009, sister, Mary and her brother, Bob. Survivors include her two daughters, Lisa (Paul) Lattan and Mary (Brett) Emanuel all of Kansas City, MO; three brothers, Bill Knoebber, Tom Knoebber, both of Topeka, KS and Jack Knoebber, California; three grandchildren, Grace Lattan, Sarah Lattan, and Owen Emanuel all of Kansas City, MO.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 24 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church; entombment in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
