Elizabeth Virginia Hutzenbuhler, 86, Mission, Kansas, passed away Friday August 2, 2013.
Liz was born November 28, 1926, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, to Arthur and Ida Wanner. She married Edwin "Ed" Hutzenbuhler on November 26, 1949, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in LaCrosse. They moved to Roeland Park, Kansas, in 1958. Liz was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Liz leaves her six children, Linda Hutzenbuhler, Mission, Kansas, Barbara (David) Licklider, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Nancy (Patrick) Kennedy, Lenexa, Kansas, Mary Lamping, Richmond, Missouri, David (Angela) Hutzenbuhler, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Anne (Bob) Waldorf, Overland Park, Kansas; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters, Edith Brainard, Ohio, Mary Ann Lyons, Arizona, Rosalie (Joe) Schelble, South Carolina; brother, Jim (Lavonne) Wanner, Michigan; sisters-in-law, Jean (Earl) Welch, Minnesota, Joan Reese, Norma (Jim) Platz, Dorothy (Bud) Von Haden all of Wisconsin. Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Ed in 2009, grandson, Robbie Lamping in 2012 and sister, Jayne Harding, in 2000.
Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Mission Kansas. Funeral mass will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at the church; burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
