Elizabeth Ann Martin

December 18, 1932 — February 19, 2015

Elizabeth Ann (Fallis) Martin completed her Heavenly journey February 19, 2015. Ann was born December 18, 1932 to Clarence R. "Dick" and Katherine (Fisher) Fallis in Joplin, MO. Ann graduated from Westport High School in 1951. She married Warren S. Martin September 30, 1955. They shared a lasting and true love until his death in 2003. Together they were active members at Overland Park Christian Church. Ann served as CWF President, CWF Worship Leader, elder, Stephens minister, Sunday School and VBS teacher, chancel choir member, prayer chain and Now group. She served as secretary of the Kansas district CWF board Disciples of Christ Church. After moving to Liberty, Mo in 2009, she attended Hillside Christian Church before becoming a member of New Hope Church of the Nazarene. There she served in the Prayer Shawl Ministry and the Encouragers class. After Warren's retirement, Ann re-entered the work force working a Farmers Insurance then later at Field Office Market Research. Ann was an avid book reader and world traveler. Ann leaves her family a legacy of faith, love and laughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Warren S. Martin, sister, Mary K. Lundell, brother, brother, Marvin D. Vawter, foster son, Michael P. Luse, son-in-law, John E. Kelley and grandson, Eric P. Martin. Those left to cherish her memory are son, Paul (Laura) Martin, Kansas City, MO; daughter, Cindy Kelley, Kansas City, MO; daughter-in-law, Terry Luse; grandchildren, Rebecca (David) Raya, Gardner, KS, Christopher Martin, Gardner, KS, April Pierron, Grandview, MO, M. Katherine Burge, Grandview, MO, Thomas J. (Cynthia) Burge, Kansas City, MO; great grandchildren, Tyler, Alexia, Haley, Matthew, Avery and Serenity; five great great grandchildren, her beloved "Rat Pack" from OPCC CWF Circle #1, many friends and the daughter of her heart, Linda (Alvin) Phipps, Smithville, MO. A special thank you to the staff at NKC Hospice House.

A visitation will be held at New Hope Nazarene, 4330 North Oak Trafficway Kansas City, Missouri, Tuesday February 24, 2015 from 10-11 am. The Service will directly follow at the church at 11:00 am at the church and burial will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
