Ella Marie Lovan

Ella Marie Lovan, 91, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away, Monday, July 16, 2012.

Marie was born September 13, 1920, in Burnham, Missouri, to Marion Francis and Virda Lilly (Kenney) Jones. She was the oldest of 12 children. She married Elmer Lovan on November 27, 1939, in Mountain View, Missouri. They moved to Kansas City in 1940 where they raised their family. They were very active in the Baptist Church and she currently was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawnee. After Elmer retired from the railroad, they moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where they lived until returning to Overland Park in 1989.

Elmer preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Michael Lovan and a great grandson. She is survived by four sons, Donald (Pam) Lovan, Claremore, Oklahoma, Frank (Dianne) Lovan, Barnett, Missouri, Howard (Dianne) Lovan, Stilwell, Kansas, and Keith Lovan, Paola, Kansas; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

Visitation will be 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m.; burial in Antioch Cemetery.
