Elmer J. Massey, Jr.

Elmer J. Massey, Jr., age 59, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away December 3, 2008. He was born May 27th 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Elmer J. Massey Sr. and Mary Ludgate Massey.

He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. Elmer retired from the US Postal Service in 2003 after over 30 years of service. He was a proud and active member of the Shawnee Masonic Lodge #54, the Abdallah Shriners, The Widow's Sons, and the Kansas Patriot Guard. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and leaves behind his wife Mikki (Ruder) Massey, his daughters; Jennifer Mendez and Robin Berthold and 5 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Elmer's memory may be made to the Shriner's Hospital.

Memorial Service

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 3:00 PM at The Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
