Elsie “Dee” Sand

Elsie "Dee" Sand, 82, of Merriam, KS, passed away on Sept. 25, 2017. She was born on Nov. 23, 1934, in Covington, KY to Earl and Marion (Johanneman) Kampsen. Dee is preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Sand; son, Thomas Earl; step-son Harry E. Sand II. She is survived by her sister, Linda (Donald) Anneken of Burlington, KY; daughters, Mari-Beth (Vern) Cline, Paula Rose; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces/nephews. Dee worked many years in the retail business at Dillards.

Visitation on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church temporarily located at the old St. Joseph High School gym, 11525 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas from 9:30~10:30 a.m. with a funeral mass to immediately follow. Burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
