Eric Mathew Erickson

Eric Erickson, 73, of Kansas City, KS passed away on January 28th, 2020. He was born in Salina, KS to Erick and Geraldine Erickson. Rick loved cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and was a huge Nascar fan. Rick married his wife, Ardyn Allison on February 14, 1987 and started his career in the transportation industry with companies such as Graves Truckline and retired with YRC, (AKA: Yellow Freight).  He attended Kansas Weslyan University for 2 years. Rick was outgoing and friendly and we fondly remember his smile.  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ardyn Allison Erickson. One daughter, Elizabeth (Eddy) Malik of Wentzville MO. and four sisters: Anne (Bert) Gagnon of Salina KS, Jane Sellers of Salina, KS, Judith (Joseph) Eulberg of Haymarket, VA, and Peggy (Joseph) Stratton of Junction City, KS; 3 nieces, 8 nephews, 1 great niece and 3 great nephews. Extended family, stepson Garot H. (Marisol) Pflumm and stepdaughter Lauri Pflumm Guidry, (see "preceded in death"); 10 step-grandchildren and 6 great step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Erick Erickson and his mother Geraldine Erickson; stepson R. Nicholas Pflumm and stepdaughter Allison Pflumm Gudikunst.

Services will be held February 21st at 1 p. m. at Kansas Veteran's Cemetery: Fort Riley, KS.
