Eric M. Newcomer, 46, of Shawnee, KS passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 at his home.

Eric was born November 5, 1973 to Michael and Janet Newcomer in Lawrence, KS.  Eric graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1992 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Missouri in 1996.  Eric became an accomplished song writer & musician and would often boast about living and working amongst celebrities in Hollywood.  On April 21, 2018, Eric married John P. Schweiger at home in Shawnee, KS. after 10-years together.

Eric is preceded in death by his mother, Janet.  He is survived by his husband, John Schweiger; his father, Michael Newcomer; his twin sister, Jennifer Newcomer; two brother in laws, Robert Schweiger and wife Nell; Rich Schweiger; a sister in law, Theresa McCoy and husband Vince; a combined 10 nieces and nephews, Marcus Newcomer; Andrew McCoy; Robert Schweiger, Jr. and wife Jaime; MaryAnne McNeal and husband Alex; Rebekah Reyelts and husband Tyler; Richard Schweiger, Jr. and wife Sam; Katie Gannan; Samantha Gannan; Nathan Schweiger; Zoe Schweiger; four great nephews and one great niece.

Celebration of Life Services

A celebration of Eric's life will be held at the Shawnee Civic Center @ 13817 Johnson Dr. in Shawnee @ 6:00 p.m Friday, November 22, 2019 with food provided after service.
