Eric Brian Senecal

Eric Brian Senecal, 45, of Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Lake Luzerne and Ballston Spa, New York, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Eric was born May 31, 1967, to Thomas and Virginia Senecal in Glens Falls, New York. He graduated from Lake Luzerne High School in 1984 before earning his bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Hudson Valley Community College in 1988.

Eric worked as a Network Engineer for Sprint and more recently Ericcson. He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection where he was active in the Men's Cancer Support Group. Eric loved golfing and playing baseball, but found his greatest joy in life was being a husband and father. He loved watching and coaching his children's baseball and softball teams. Eric always enjoyed serving meals at Children's Mercy Hospital.

Eric is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Amanda; his parents, Thomas and Virginia Senecal; his daughter Kelly Senecal; a son Nicholas Senecal; three sisters, Debra Senecal, Sue Norton, Lynette Senecal; a brother, Thomas J. Senecal, Jr.; mother and father-in-law Joyce and James Robertson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Eric's life will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, Kansas 66224.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to Senecal Children's Fund, c/o Amanda Senecal.
