Ernest Micheels

Ernest Micheels, 79, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away November 2, 2011.

Ernest was born March 2, 1932, in Horst, Germany, to Ernst and Karoline Micheels. He immigrated to the United States in 1951 and was a meat cutter by trade. Ernest was united in marriage to his wife of 57 years Clara.

He is survived by his wife Clara; three children, Marlene Little, Caroline Wild, and Tony Micheels; and 7 grandchildren, Lindsey, John, Valerie, Leigh, Mindy, Thomas and Lauren.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, with the Rosary recited at 7:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
