Ernestine (Agnew) Olson, age 77, passed away on Monday, May 7 2018, in Shawnee, KS.

She was born in Skiatook, Oklahoma on May 13, 1941. She enjoyed painting, camping, and caring for her family. She was a dedicated mother and wife who spent her life standing up for others. She graduated from Friends Bible College, Haviland, KS met and married Richard Olson while attending Emporia State University.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryce and Mae Agnew, her brother Mitchell Agnew, infant daughter Cheryl Lynn Olson. She is survived by her husband, Richard Olson, daughter Kristen (Steve) Hickey, son, John (Holly) Olson, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Ernie worked as a seamstress for two private businesses and a was a paraprofessional at Mission Valley Middle School and Shawnee Mission East. She helped in her husband's ministry at the Swedeburg, Nebraska Covenant Church.  She served on the board at the Covenant Home in Stromsburg, Nebraska.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Hillcrest Covenant Church 8801 Nall, Prairie Village, KS with funeral services following at 1 p.m.
