Eugene I. Jennings

April 7, 1932 — April 24, 2015

EUGENE I JENNINGS (Gene) passed peacefully into his life with Jesus on April 24, 2015 at his home. He was born April 7, 1932 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada to Maude and Oscar Jennings.

From 1953-1954 Gene served in the United States Navy, serving on the Admiral's Staff at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida. Graduating from Bradley University in 1958, he was a member of Alpha Phi Omega, serving as its president.

Gene served as a Professional in the Creve Coeur Council, Boy Scouts of America; he was a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow. He then entered the insurance industry as an underwriter.

Gene is survived by his wife, Joyce, step-daughter Jerelyn Helms, step-grandson Philip Blackburn, nieces and nephews. Gene's parents, brother Wesley Jennings, and sisters Ruby Payton and Ramona Schuller preceded him in death.

A Memorial Service of Worship will be held May 3rd at 4:30pm at Crossroad Church, in Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be at 3:30pm.

Memorial Gifts to Eugene I. Jennings' memory may be made to the Crossroads Church, 10551 Quivira Road, Overland Park, KS 66215 of which he was a member, or to the donor's choice of a Hospice Organization.
