Eugene Ray Leckrone

Eugene Ray Leckrone, 88, passed away on January 1, 2022 at the Select Specialty Hospital of Kansas City, KS due to complications of prostate cancer.

Eugene was born in Branson, Missouri on January 7, 1933 to Beulah M. (Cox) and Ray A. Leckrone. He graduated from Branson High School class of 1951. Upon graduation he served as a Corporal in the United States Army and was stationed in both Louisiana and Kansas during the Korean War. After active duty, Eugene joined Gustin-Bacon Fiberglass later merged with Certainteed Fiberglass. He remained with Certainteed for 42 years and retired as a Heliarc welder.

Eugene is survived by his loving daughter, Ann (Rick) Jackson and his loving son Steve (Lisa) Leckrone; grandchildren Jennifer Surmacz, Bryce (Melissa) Jackson, Alex (Dakkota) Jackson, Matthew Leckrone, Noelle Leckrone and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mae (Gray) Leckrone, brothers Loren (Lillian) Leckrone, Fred (Jean) Leckrone and their parents.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Amos Family Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.
