Eva Eileen Martinez

Eva Eileen Martinez, 66, of Kansas City, KS, passed away, Thursday, April 2, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospice House.

Eva was born in Kansas City, MO. She worked as a nurse's aide at KU Medical Center Pediatric Clinic. She was passionate about her immediate family, especially, her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Letisia, in 1987. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Juan F. Martinez; a daughter, Jessica (Juan) Vera; two sons, John (Courtney) Martinez and Jose Martinez; two sisters, Josephine Perez and Jesse Avila; three brothers, Abraham, Robert, and A. R. Razo; five grandchildren, Frances, Victoria, Samantha, Luca, and Mateo and three great grandchildren Dominic, Isadora, and Amelia.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Amos Family Funeral Home where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.

The family suggests contributions to St. Luke's Hospice House.
