Eva Maxine James Stamm

Eva Maxine James Stamm, 86, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 27, 2010 at The Sweet Life at Rosehill in Shawnee.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents Richard Buehler James and Lola Beatrice (Whietner) James; her husband Melvin Lee Stamm; a daughter Sherri Vonn Stamm; sisters Alma Allegra, Lillian, Vivian; and brothers Arthur L. James and Earl James. Eva is survived by a daughter Carolyn Sue Stamm Sielert and husband David, Emporia, Kansas; son Mark Edward Stamm and wife Alice, Olathe, Kansas; sister Etta Marie James Kerr husband Jim, Highmore, South Dakota; brother Paul James and wife Martha Nan, Cody, Wyoming; and four grandchildren Jessica (Bernado) Rueda, Anna Sielert, Rachel Stamm, and Emma Stamm.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 6422 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS 66202.

Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Antioch Pioneer Cemetery.
