Evelyn Alice Blessing

Evelyn (Lynn) Blessing, 79, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away November 25, 2021. A visitation will be held December 1, 2021 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Amos Family Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home. Evelyn will be laid to rest at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park.
Evelyn was born November 21, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles and Leola (Patterson) Pettie. Lynn grew up in Michigan and then went to Shawnee Mission High School, which is now Shawnee Mission North. In high school, she met her love, Carl. They were married for almost 60 years. Carl and Lynn loved camping and riding motorcycles. After retirement they became snowbirds spending all their winters in Harlingen Texas.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Carl R. Blessing Jr.; daughter Sheri (Chris) Phillips; son Dennis Blessing; grandchildren: Brendan Phillips and Shayna Phillips;
Sisters Marilyn (Pettie) Wolfer and Christine Pettie and many nieces and nephews.
