Everett L. McBride, 90, of Overland Park, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Everett was born November 4, 1925 in Lake View, Iowa to the late Claude and Ida McBride. After high school, Everett joined the U.S. Navy and served in the coastal defense during World War II. When he returned home from service, Everett attended the University of Iowa and earned his MBA. Everett is still an avid Hawkeye fan. On August 21, 1949 he married Ina Fern Russell in Sac City, Iowa.

Everett is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ina Fern McBride; his 5 children, Terry McBride and wife Sue; Karen Thrailkill; James McBride; Greg McBride and wife Maybelle; Steve McBride and wife Cynthia; two sisters, Audrey Derr; Sandra Nicholson; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

The family will receive friends 10-11 am Saturday, September 3 at the Overland Park Christian Church, 7600 W. 75th St., Overland Park, KS 66204. A celebration of Everett's life will follow at 11 am.
