Flavel A. Arnold

Flavel A. Arnold, died early Tuesday morning at Shawnee Mission Hospital. She was born on June 13, 1932 in Ottawa, KS in the country to Eben and Nellie Little. Flavel married Kenneth Arnold on Sep. 22, 1951. He preceded her in death. Their son, Anthony (Tony) was born on August 17, 1952 and preceded her in death. Flavel was employed at Valley Growers as a teenager and AT&T as a switch board operator as a young adult. She attended a semester of college at Emporia State College. She was a homemaker, loving big sister, wife, mother, devoted neighbor, master gardener, and a dog lover. She collected for the neighborhood ball pot for the World Series for thirty years. Flavel is survived by her aunt Ruth Hollinger, sister Sammy Reynolds Shawnee,KS, niece Rita Bronaugh (Robin) Carthage, MO, nephew Blaine Reynolds, California, great nephew Todd Bronaugh (Amber) Shawnee, KS, great niece Melinda Hency (Sam) and three great great nieces Carthage, MO.
