Florence H. Osburn

Florence H. Osburn, 95, Leavenworth, passed away March 31, 2011, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Florence was born May 29, 1915, in Indianapolis Indiana. She worked for the Board of Church Extensions for 15 years before retiring in 1969. She was a former member of Downey Christian Church.

Florence is preceded in death by her two husbands Gip Henderson Schmidt and William Ray Osburn, her sister Mary Katherine Chavers, and brother Donald Hester. She is survived by her son Gene Schmidt and wife Jackie; her step-son Richard Osburn and wife Charlotte; her brother, George Hester and wife Sue; three grandchildren and several neices, nephews and friends.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Private family burial will be at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens in Ft. Myers, Florida.
