Foster “Paul” Young

Foster "Paul" Young, 79, Lenexa, KS passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Advent Health.  Paul was born on July 21st, 1941 to Ralph Foster and Mary Sue (Owens) Young in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Paul was a choral director in the Shawnee Mission School District from 1965 to 1990 in which 22 of those years were at Shawnee Mission North.  In addition, he worked at Montgomery Wards for 12 years, St. Mark’s United Methodist Church as the choral director during the 70 and 80’s and also worked at Stations Casino for 15 years until he retired at 69.

People will fondly remember him for his “gift for gab” as the saying goes.  During his free time, he enjoyed to meet friends at the park for coffee hour or to simply sit and enjoy a cup of coffee watching nature.  He also enjoyed listening to the Royals.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his husband of 46 years, Tony Rudloff.

A visitation will be from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Amos Family Funeral Home.
