Frances Harling Blaisdell (98) passed away December 7, 2015. Fran was born October 22, 1917 in Needham, MA; the daughter of Joseph and Ann (Keefe) Harling. She lived in Springfield MA and graduated from Technical High School in 1934. She worked as a dental assistant prior to her marriage to Louis M. Blaisdell Jr., the love of her life, August 18, 1941. They lived in several locations and settled in Newnan GA. Fran had been an active member of the Catholic Church. She was a very caring and compassionate woman volunteering her time throughout her life. She was a loving caregiver for both her Mother and husband. Fran was an avid gardener, and seamstress, and loved to dance. She has lived in Overland Park, KS, near family, the past 11 years. Fran was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, sister-in-law, and friend. Her husband of almost 50 years preceded her in death March 9, 1991. She is survived by her children: Patricia B. Scheibel (Robert), James H. Blaisdell (Marty), Susan B. Wagner; six Grandchildren: Robert C. Scheibel Jr (Megan), Jeffrey L. Scheibel (Katie), Kathleen S. Wolff (Bill), Christopher Wagner (Faith), Matthew Wagner (Meme), Kathryn S. Wilhite (Joel); 13 great grandchildren: Emma, Maggie, Abby, Chris, Allison, Sara, John, Molly, Anna, Clara, Jane, Ben, and Alma; brother-in-law: Kenneth R. Blaisdell. The legacy she leaves her family is love of her Catholic faith, and love of her Family.
Her family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude for the many staff members at Village Shalom who cared for their Mother so gently and lovingly.
