Frances Mae Colaw, 93, of Leawood passed away Friday, November 5, 2010, at Villa St. Joseph in Overland Park.
Frances was born May 12, 1917, to the late James Gilbert and Vivian Thomas. Frances married John Allen Colaw on June 12, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1976.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn S. Norberg, and husband Eric; son, Thomas Allen Colaw and wife Polly; sister Shirley Canole and husband John and sister-in-law Lois Thomas; three grandsons, Jason Norberg and wife Betsy, Justin Norberg and wife Kendal and Christopher Colaw; and four great grandchildren, Asher, Ava, Alden and Julie Norberg.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Grace Gardens, Villa St. Joseph and Odyssey Hospice for the exemplary care Frances received from them.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Animal Haven, 9800 W. 67th Street, Merriam, Kansas 66203.
Graveside service
Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Monday November 8, 2010, at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Kansas City, Missouri.
